Fun Friday
Friday is a chance to try out new things and old favourites. The new things were the stilts and water words. An old favourite was window words.
Lovin' the Library
We just love the library! This week we were the first to try out the new wireless listening post. We listened to The Wonky Donkey story by Craig Smith.
Off to Assembly
Today was our first whole school assembly. All the children went up on stage to receive a welcome to school certificate. We sang a couple of waiata together. We enjoyed watching other things like Redcliffs School News, House Point winners for the week and recycling awards.

Chalk words
"We did the letters that we had to copy," said Bree.
"We needed to make words," said Anthony.
"Only two could go at once, " said Riley.
"We copied the cards," said Alice.
"We wrote the word 'I'," said Charlie B.
"We wore our sun hats," said Bree.
"You were only allowed to put the chalk on concrete," said Charlie H.
"We used pink, blue, green and white chalk," said Aaron.

Elgregoe- You've got the power!
We had local magician, Elgregoe, deliver an anti-bullying message to us today. It was fun and captivating. We learnt about the good things we need to do at school such as encouraging and respecting others. Plus what to do if someone keeps being unkind to us.

Playing with playdough
We explored different maths stations today. We used our maths playdough mats to make these cool things.
Phonics
In phonics we learn the sounds we write words with and how we write them down. Today we learnt to hear the 'b' sound and write a b.
