Warm feet
The children are welcome to bring slippers to school to wear inside. We do not wear shoes inside so we can keep our new spaces clean. Thanks for helping with this.

Pick up from Sumner
Rooms 15, 16 and 17 will be working together after school to get children to the buses on time.
The children being picked up by parents will wait next door in Rooms 15/16, while the others are taken to the buses on Wiggins Street by the other two teachers.
If your child is going on the bus, please let me know- write it in their notebook too. I need to know if they are getting off at the village or Redcliffs School, as there are two buses.

Learning Centre Wednesday
Just a reminder that the Learning Centre at St Andrews Church is open from 9 am to 3 pm tomorrow. The Ministry of Education Teachers will be running it. Please remember to bring a snack or two, a drink and your lunch if you are coming. The Redcliffs staff will be setting up at Sumner School for the day. Thank you for your offers of help, but I think I will be alright as the Ministry moving people are collecting anything sizeable that we need moved. I'll see you at Sumner on Thursday!
Blog views
Woah! We've had over 4,000 views on our blog!!! Can we make it to 5,000 by the end of the term do you think?
Our new space!
The teachers went down to Sumner to look at our new spaces. I am excited about our new room! We are very lucky indeed. Here are some photos of it, but it will look more like your classroom when you arrive!
Parents, please check the school website for details for our reopening at Sumner School. But I can tell you that we are starting at 9.15 and finishing at 2.45 pm. Please come in the Wiggins Street entrance and make your way to the new school hall. We will start at 9.15 with an assembly in the hall and then the teachers will take the children to class. Our room is at the back of the hall to the far right.

Tuesday at the Learning Centre
Today at the Learning Centre we had 13 children! It was so wonderful to have most people together again.
We had a jammed packed morning with maths, a concert by Geoff the guitar teacher (there are some movie shots at the end of this post, not as wiggly as yesterdays one!), hockey with Mr L and then reading. Ask the your child to show you the motorbike move and the old man or lady stance we use in hockey! It'll make you laugh!
Here are some videos of the talented Geoff. What a treat!

On the move
Hi all. Please check your email or view the letter from school on the school website. What an exciting time ahead! I am looking forward to settling the class quickly and continuing our learning as they are making such wonderful progress.
It was great to see so many children at the Learning Centre today. We pretty much had a normal morning with news, maths, writing, fit n fab, morning tea and reading. Do remember to send a drink bottle and a couple of little snacks for each day. We start at 9 am so it would be great to see you then!
