k for kites and kicking

The kids made kites and had a go at kicking a goal.

We braved the cold and joined the rest of the school for assembly. Here are the clever and new people that received awards today.

Our sneaky snack today was made by us! We created fruit kebabs to remember the k sound.

Some information

A newsletter should have been emailed to you from school. Please check with Debbie in the office if you haven't received it.

Our water tank on the right as you come up the driveway is now full with drinkable water. Children are welcome to fill their bottles from this each day. I will refill the extra bottles parents have sent along to keep in the classroom just in case children need extra water.

Library

Please send back any library books for our visit tomorrow. Junior children are allowed up to three books at a time and they are issued for two weeks. No other books will be issued if they have overdue books. If you are away from school at the moment and you are able to locate your books that were issued before the earthquake, could you please drop them into school or post them to us. Thank you!

We wrote to Room 4 at Pinehaven School who sent us a card after the earthquake. We decided to take some photos to show them what we wrote about.

Room 17 got a letter and the letter said....

Alice sent us a parcel with a lovely message and some yummy (but educational!) treats for us all! Thank you Alice!
